Cumberland County phone bank to help residents obtain vaccination appointments
A former Kmart store, which is now a U-Haul facility on Walnut Bottom Road in South Middleton Township near Carlisle, now serves as the Cumberland County Community Vaccine Clinic.
And the Cumberland County Department of Public Safety has announced that beginning Wednesday it will be going live with a new phone bank at 9 a.m. to assist residents in scheduling vaccine appointments for the clinic.
Residents obtain information or schedule appointments by calling 717-918-9880 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday with the exception of April 3.
A mostly volunteer staff will be answering the phones to make appointments for residents.
In the 12 days that the clinic has been open, county officials said that nearly 15,000 doses have been administered.
Quality Care, Holly and Big Spring Pharmacies are responsible for the handling and administration of the vaccinations.
Interested residents can call the phone bank or check www.qcpharmacy.com as it will be updated when appointments and vaccine becomes available.
